Benny Ruess is a quite well-known DJ and concert/party promoter in Hamburg’s indie & alternative scene since 1996. Especially the indie party series REVOLVER CLUB, which exist since 2001, has become an institution in the city’s alternative music-scene. Over the years he has become one of the best-known music connoisseurs of the alternative music scene, especially in the field of Shoegaze, Post Punk, Britpop and Neo-Psychedelic Rock n‘ Roll.
For a long time he has also been a tour booker, promoter and business coordinator for various bands, artists and also the Hamburg BIMM College which he helped to build. Currently, as a freelancer himself, he is very hard hit by the Corona crisis and unemployed.
