Vulkan Ätna stößt Rauchringe aus

Aufnahmen des Ätnas zeigen, dass der aktuell schönere Rings aus Rauch (der eigentlich Wasserdampf ist) in die Luft bekommt als jeder Trickser mit einer Vape.

It is a relatively rare phenomenon caused by a constant release of vapours and gases. The gaseous mass ascends rapidly through the central part of the conduit, promoting the formation of rings by wrapping the gas upon itself in a vortex motion.

Lava-Auge

Der Fotograf Jeroen Van Nieuwenhove mit einem Blick von oben auf flüssiges Gestein in Island mit einer Temperatur von ~1200 °C. Faszinierend.

Out of all the footage I captured during the past three eruptions, this clip easily makes my nerdy heart beat the fastest. It looks like a great eye, lidless, wreathed in flame (anyone out there who got the reference?!😅). What you’re looking at is a top down view of a lava river rushing down a hill. The lava is so liquid, it’s moving almost as if it were water. This is because I recorded this very close to a vent further up the hill. The lava’s temperature is still close to 1200-1250 degrees Celsius here. Additionally, because it’s going downhill, it’s going even faster than you’d expect. When I spotted this “lavafall” from ground level, I immediately knew I needed to get my drone above it as that was where it would look really interesting to me.

Aufnahmen vom Vulkanausbruch auf Island

Egal wie alt ich sein werde und egal wie viele ich davon schon gesehen wserden habe, Aufnahmen von Vulkanausbrüchen werden mich immer mit Ehrfurcht erfüllen und tief beindrucken. So wie diese, die die letzten Tage auf Island entstanden sind.

Der Vulkanausbruch auf Island könnte nach Angaben von Außenminister Bjarni Benediktsson noch länger andauern. „Zum Glück besteht im Moment keine Lebensgefahr. Der Flughafen ist offen“, sagte er am Dienstagabend dem britischen Fernsehsender Sky News.Die Lava fließe nicht in Richtung der Stadt. „Wir haben uns Sorgen gemacht wegen der Infrastruktur“, sagte er. Es gebe dort ein wichtiges Kraftwerk, sie hätten in den vergangenen Wochen aber bereits eine Schutzbarriere errichtet.

Auge aus Lava, lidlos

Krasse Drohnenaufnahme von Jeroen Van Nieuwenhove, der dafür in Island einen eruptierenden Vulkan überflogen hat.

PS: Yes, this is the actual speed at which it was flowing. It’s really hard to wrap your mind around the fact that this is actually liquid rock.

Ausbruch des Volcán de Fuego

Der Volcán de Fuego ist einer der aktivsten Vulkane Guatemalas, wobei große Ausbrüche eher selten, aber dann auch gefährlich sind. Diese Aufnahmen hier zeigen einer der Ausbrüche aus der Nähe und sehen ziemlich spektakulär aus. Natural pyro.

This was taken late evening on Volcán de Fuego in Antigua, Guatemala while on an overnight hike with a guide service. We were allegedly about 200 meters from the top (according to the guides). Rocks from this explosion fell around and behind us. The lava fell about 50 feet from us in places. I was near the back of the group as you can see in the video. I did not realize it at first, but everyone behind me and all the guides took off running. We did not realize how dangerous a position we were in until afterward.

Vulkanausbruch von oben

Mit der Drohne über Vulkane zu fliegen, kann in die Hose gehen, wie wir wissen, aber wenn alles gut geht, verschaffen uns Drohnen Aufnahmen, die ohne sie kaum möglich wären. So wie diese hier.
