Streeartist Mobstr hat über den Zeitraum eines Jahres mit einer Bude für Fassadenreinigung kommuniziert. Auf einer Fassade.

I cycled past this wall on the way to work for years. I noticed that graffiti painted within the red area was “buffed” with red paint. However, graffiti outside of the red area would be removed via pressure washing. This prompted the start of an experiment. Unlike other works, I was very uncertain as to what results it would yield. Below is what transpired over the course of a year.

Tage eines Graffitis im Graffiti zählen

Street Artist Mobstr hat im Mai letzten Jahres damit begonnen, in London die Tage eines Graffitis zu zählen. Sprichwörtlich und in echt hat er dann für jeden Tag, den das Graffiti erhalten blieb, einen Strich zu der sich immer weiter füllenden Strichliste hinzugefügt. Hier Tag 1 und einer der zuletzt dokumentierten. Mittlerweile ist die Mauer nicht mehr da, die Tage des Graffitis also sind gezählt.

Mobstr, who recently put on a show in London , just completed a project he had been working on for over a year. Starting in May of last year, he had been counting the days a particular piece of graffiti lasted on a wall in Hackney Wick along the edge of a river, adding hashmarks for each passing day. The low wall was finally destroyed this July as part of new construction, but as you can see, this is yet another example of Mobstr’s interactive street art that he is know for.
