Die Londoner Fabric versteigert aktuell ihr Martin Audio Speaker System aus Room 2.

„Fabric is selling the speaker system that has played music to ravers in room two of the London club for over 16 years.

Installed in 2000, the Martin Audio speaker system is being auctioned on eBay, with half the proceeds going to the medical fund to provide treatment for Corsica Studios founder Amanda Moss, who has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.“

Fabric London, utterly empty

Nach der Nachricht heute Morgen, dass die Fabric in London ihre Pforten schließen muss, taucht auf YouTube ein Video auf, dass den Laden voll funktionstüchtig aber eben auch völlig leer zeigt. Alles lebt und keiner tanzt. Irgendwie spooky.

Londons „Fabric“ geschlossen

Nachdem neulich noch eine Petition zum Erhalt des legendären Nachtclubs rumging, wurde der Lodoner Fabric jetzt nach Gesprächen mit der Stadt die Konzession entzogen. Somit schließt der Laden.

Ich weiß, dass auch Clubs immer im Wandel sind. Die einen schließen und schaffen Räume für Neues, in denen dann andere öffnen. Alles fliest. Normal. Aber den Laden hätte ich mir tatsächlich irgendwann nochmal von innen ansehen wollen.

Iconic nightclub London Fabric has had its license permanently revoked, after owners were locked in crunch talk with Islington Council for ar six hours. The decision was announced just after 1am.

Islington Council cited major safety concerns as the key reasons for the closure, followig the recent deaths of two young men at the club.

Mayor of London Sadiq Khan recently issued a response to a petition calling on him to safeguard the future of the venue. “I am urging Fabric, the Met & Islington to find an approach that protects clubbers’ safety and the future of the club,“ he wrote on Twitter.
