Was bei Oliven funktioniert, geht auch mit Orangen. Die sind halt nur ein bisschen größer. So geschüttelt und aufgenommen in Valencia.

Ich musste bis eben weder was Flammenjäten ist, noch, dass das im Großen auch von Traktoren auf Feldern praktiziert wird, um so auf den Einsatz von Chemie gegen Unkraut verzichten zu können. Und bei dem Sound, den dieser Flammenwerfer-Traktor macht, wird es mir gleich zwei bis drei Grad wärmer.

Schon im Jahr 2013 hat man in Tokyo aus der bis dahin oberirdischen Shibuya Station eine U-Bahnstation gemacht. Soweit so gut, aber: der letztendlich Umbau wurde in nur einer Nacht mit 1200 Mitarbeitern gewuppt, was ich mehr als nur beeindruckend finde.
When the Shibuya Station Toyoko Line above-ground train shut down for good it was replaced with a new section of subway track connecting Shibuya Station and the nearby Daikanyama Station. The conversion of the line from above-ground to underground required 1,200 engineers and countless man-hours.
But this mammoth construction was virtually unnoticeable, because it all occurred during the train line’s off-hours… over the course of one single night.

Ich kann mich daran erinnern, dass Omma noch per Hand Socken stickte oder häkelte. Klar, dass das zu der Zeit auch schon Maschinen machten, aber denen habe ich noch nie bei ihrer Arbeit zugesehen. Bis eben. Hier eine Sockenstrickmaschine aus dem Jahr 1908.
