Mir ist heute sehr, sehr Carbon Based Lifeforms, so dass ich hierzu gerade am Kochen bin. Im Garten brennt ein Feuer und ich denke, die Kinder aus der Nachbarschaft werden gleich nach Süßem fragen, das hier wohlsortiert in einer Schüssel auf Abnehmende wartet. Dazu Carbon Based Lifeforms, selektiert und gemixt von Savvas Kalt. Acid Ambient, Psybient, nennt es, wie ihr wollt. Könnte gerade besser gar nicht sein.

Mir war vorhin nach so richtig entspanntem Chill-Sound, so dass ich ein wenig bei Soundcloud danach gesucht und diese sehr gut gealterte Perle gefunden habe. Die großartigen Carbon Based Lifeforms live beim Microcosmos 2013. Ambient, der sich mit breiter Brust der psychedelischen Klangwelten bedient und hinten raus zum ganz entspannten Tanz einlädt. Perfekter Sound, um dazu an einem Wochenende ganz einfach mal gar nichts zu tun außer vielleicht ein paar Nag Champa anzuzünden. ॐ

Funky Jeff hat sich dem Schaffen der Schweden von Carbon Based Lifeforms angenommen und einen wunderbaren Ambient-Mix daraus gewebt. Ich koch dazu hier jetzt mal eben Hühnerfrikassee nach Omas Rezept. Kochen und Musik ist in etwas so etwas wie Essen und guter Wein. Passt einfach perfekt zusammen. Gerade wenn es ein Mix dieser Art ist. Sehr fein.

Their music blends ambient with patches of static, garbled radio transmissions and disembodied voice bytes. This music revels in mystery, layered with lush synthetic chords, suggesting something akin to a long scuba dive in the waters of an alien world.
CBL’s sound design remains immaculate and its a revelation to hear the duo apply their craft to the 20 beatless, drone-based compositions of this mix.
