This little cub was found roaming our backyard in Jackson, WY. foraging for food and shelter. We contacted Wyoming Game and Fish and once they determined he was indeed an orphan, they sent out a wildlife biologist to tranquilize him in order to try to save the little guy. With no mama, the odds of this cub surviving on his own with winter coming on, were slim, so getting him out of the tree was critical. Once tranquilized, the cub fell safely into the tarp. From there he was evaluated by a local vet and then transported to the Idaho Black Bear Rehabilitation Center where he will winter and hopefully become strong and healthy enough to be released back to the wild! Good luck ‚Wyatt‘ the cub!
